Youth Scholarships
DMMPC Youth Scholarship Program
The Des Moines Metro Pickleball Club (DMMPC) is dedicated to growing pickleball among youth in our community. In addition to weekly play at Valley Community Center, we offer youth clinics, camps, and tournaments throughout the year.
Why Pickleball for Youth?
Pickleball is a great way for kids to stay active and build valuable skills. It provides:
-
Physical exercise and healthy activity
-
Positive social interactions with peers
-
Skill development for all ability levels
-
Opportunities to form intergenerational connections
To make pickleball more accessible and encourage youth participation, we offer scholarships to help cover registration fees for scheduled events.

To apply for a youth scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Be at least 10 years old

Be a resident of Polk County

There is no guarantee that an applicant will receive a scholarship.
Recognition
Scholarship recipients will be introduced and recognized at the annual DMMPC meeting.
We encourage families to stay updated on youth events by visiting the DMMPC website and Facebook page, and to participate in the scholarship application process.
